This 4-week summer session aims to instruct and support parents and primary caregivers in developing concrete understanding and confidence in navigating the IEP process. The class meets weekly and is tailored around participants' unique needs in terms of their own children's experiences at school and participants' current understanding and experience with their child's IEP process.

IEP Coach Class foundationally empowers parents in communicating assertively and collaboratively with the IEP team in order to maximize their child's programming. The class will teach participants to identify necessary supports in order to establish measurable goals and specific services for their child’s IEP process. Participants will also learn how to create a year-long monitoring plan to track progress and ensure IEP goals are being met. Coach Class aims long-term to equip parents with tools and strategies to address new challenges and advocate for their child’s continued success.

Classes meet weekly in July for 90 minutes a session. Participants will leave empowered with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to advocate effectively for their child’s educational needs, including a 5-point customized action plan that can be immediately implemented. Semi-private and private coaching available.
